Christmas Countdown begins...

We decided to decorate for Christmas today!
Saxon picked out the tree all by himself (it's true) and he named the angel on top "Tinkerbell".

This little man can't seem to keep his paws off the ornaments.
He is relentless!
I'm going to have to spend all day guarding the tree.

Saxon loved putting the ornaments on and Bridger took them back off as fast as we could put them on.
Me and my boys:

Nate and the boys:

We loaded up on "shatterproof" bulbs last year during the after Christmas sale.
Bridger's definitely going to put that claim to the test, so I'll let you know how they hold up...

For Brittany:
1. We hung the self like you suggested, what do you think? I think it was a good solution until we have a mantle on day. We put it up too high, so it doesn't look as good as it could, but we had to keep it out of Bridger's reach. Saxon couldn't wait to show Gregor that we had his stocking hanging up too.
2. Thanks for the headband :) What do you think? I LOVED yours on you, but you can pull anything off...

Birthdays and Thanksgiving

Tuesday was Mike's Birthday and we all went to Buca di Beppo to celebrate!
We got lucky because I requested the Pope's table and they said it wasn't available, but when we got there, they seated us at the Pope's table! :)
We ordered a TON of food and they brought Mike a triple layer birthday cake and candelabra to blow out instead of candles.
It was so fun to have a night out!
Brittany was in town and so she took Saxon with her to let him play with the boys (THANKS BRITT!) and so we only had Bridger.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE!

Thursday was my birthday and Thanksgiving.
Bridger decided for my birthday, he would make his own breakfast:

Nate had to work until 1:00, so Gregor was nice enough to come over at 10:00 and play with the kids so I could make Thanksgiving Dinner.
Saxon was so excited about Thanksgiving! He kept asking me to tell him about all of the food that I was making. He was a huge helper making the apple pie too!
We had Jeff & Meg, Mike, Gregor, and us. It was so fun!

After dinner, we went to the
BULLS vs. JAZZ game!
We had these fabulous seats:

What a great way to spend Thanksgiving!

Mike bought the kids a pretzel and cheese to dip it in (my kids love dipping!) and Saxon kept feeding Mandy sour patch kids. At one point, he poured all of the sour sugar into her hand and then licked it off and made the funniest sour face ever! We laughed until we cried because he kept licking Mandy.

The people around us were all entertained by Saxon and Bridger and kept giving them popcorn and candy and clapping at all of the silly stuff they did. At one point, Saxon climbed up into the empty row behind us and started dancing to the music. A family next to us started clapping and Saxon looked over at them, gave them the thumbs up, and then kept on dancing.

Unfortunately the Bulls lost :( But it was fun anyway. It was the first time the Jazz have ever played on Thanksgiving (at least that's what they told us) and the game didn't start until 8:30 p.m. so by the time it was over, we didn't get home until midnight and my kids weren't in bed until 1:00 a.m. We were exhausted, but we had so much fun!

The next day I opted out of Black Friday shopping because we were all so tired from the game. Poor Nate had to be to work at 6:00 a.m. though. At 11:00, when my kids finally woke up, Brittany came over and we all went to the mall. We got some Christmas shopping done and it made me miss her all over again. She should move back... :)

That night, Andi, Holly, and Rachel took me to a movie for my birthday and to dinner. (Thanks guys!) We saw NEW MOON, again :) Rachel laughed through the whole thing and when we asked her what she thought of it, she said, "comical." :) We wanted to get a picture in front of the massive TWILIGHT poster they have displayed, but there was too long of a line for it.

And, guess were Saxon was while I was having a girl's night out...at Brittany's! He wakes up every morning asking where BB went? He's going to be so sad when she leaves. He is so excited to have her back and to play with his "friends" as he calls the boys.

Anyway, we've had a really fun, busy, holiday weekend and we hope everyone else had a HAPPY THANKSGIVING too!

The Artists

Saxon asked me if he could paint with sidewalk chalk paint on the balcony.
Sure.
I guess I should have specified "only on the ground."

Of course Bubby helped out too by painting his own toes and then walking back in the house.
After seeing the masterpiece that expanded from the ground to the BBQ and the basketball hoop and the railing...I think he has potential as an artist.
I tried to be mad when I first saw the mess, but Saxon didn't buy it.
He laughed and said, "Mom! You think me funny!"

I love it!

I'll admit it...
I loved it!
Andi, Holly, Kim, Shavonica, and I went to see
NEW MOON
on Friday morning.
Holly made us all these cute matching NEW MOON shirts:

(my New Moon shirt from Holly...I love it!)
We all loved it!
It was so fun to have a girls day and we loved the movie.
Now we're counting down until ECLIPSE comes out... :)

New Moon Birthday

Megan and I recently discovered Mike's secret obsession:
TWILIGHT.
So, since his birthday is tomorrow, we decided to throw him a surprise NEW MOON 30th Birthday party!

I baked him a NEW MOON carrot cake, and Meg brought over the ice cream.
We had a pizza party and then we all (Me, Nate, Saxon, Bridger, Mike, Jeff, Meg, Gregor, & Joy) went to go see NEW MOON.
Mike loved it (of course, we all did!)
If I had more time, I would have made him a "TEAM BELLA" shirt.
We all came back to my house after so we could sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY and have cake and ice cream. Saxon insisted on blowing out the "3" candle because he is 3, so Mike only got to blow out the "0" candle.

Happy Birthday Mike!
Thanks for letting us be part of your TWILIGHT birthday.
Since ECLIPSE is supposed to come out this summer, I guess we'll have to have a BREAKING DAWN party for your next birthday...

Fall Family Pictures

A few weeks ago, my friend Ambyr was in town and took some new family pictures for us.
I LOVE THEM!
But I'm not sure which ones I'm going to put on our Christmas card yet, so I'm not going to post very many of them until I decide.
So...here are a few of them... (isn't she good!)

Lombardy Ranch

The day we got to California, we went with my Mom and Kasen to Lombardy Ranch to pick out pumpkins.

The boys picked out their favorite pumkins and Bridger tasted all of his...

We bought cupcakes from the Saugus Cheerleaders who were trying to raise money.
(sorry Brookie...we don't support Saugus, Saxon just wanted a cupcake)
Then we went through the scarecrow maze...

These are the faces I get when I say "SMILE!"...

Too heavy...

Grammie and the boys...
Since apparently pumpkins in California are WAY more expensive than Utah pumpkins, we settled on just getting one little warty one for Kasen.
Thanks Mom for the fun weekend!
