William S. Hart Park

I grew up in Santa Clarita.

Well, for the most part.

I was born in Chicago, started kindergarten in Thousand Oaks, and moved to Canyon Country to start 4th grade.

Somehow, I must have missed the "Hart Park field trip" because I had never been there before!

The cute couple in the gift shop gave us some brochures on Mr. Hart and we bought some animal food for the kids to feed the animals.

They have a baby deer that will eat right out of your hand!

This is the horse's grave and my kids loved it for some reason and kept calling it "that dead horse's house."  It was so funny!

We went on a walk and found buffalo!

The mansion.  It was closed so we couldn't go in, but it was still really fun to see and peek in the windows.

Brookie's Graduation

So, after Saxon's graduation, we drove to Mesquite, spent the night, and then drove the rest of the way in the morning.  We made it just in time for her pre-graduation dinner.

Brooke had 900 kids in her graduation class, so the stadium was PACKED.

We had to get there over an hour early to find a seat, and we barely found parking.

Brooke sang a solo with the choir and did such an amazing job!

I wish I had recorded it.

The microphones weren't working, so we couldn't hear every solo, but we heard Brooke.

I almost cried.

Really.

She did such an amazing job and I am so proud of her!

My mom and I got Brookie a lei since she is going to BYU HAWAII!!!!

I'm going to miss her but I am SO excited for her.

Maybe I can find a way to visit...

Preschool Graduation

He did it!

Saxon graduated preschool!!!

His graduation was the night before Brookie's graduation, and we wanted to be at both, so we went to Saxon's, drove to CA, and made it just in time for Brookie's.

What a whirlwind.

The kids sang so many cute songs during graduation.

Saxon started out strong, singing with everyone else...

Then he got bored and started picking his nose for a while.

Not picking, exactly, more like digging.

He has allergies and I think it must have been feeling itchy because he was really scratching around up there...

Then his tassel fell in his face, so he started trying to bite it, like a piranha.

Then he fell asleep...

Do you wonder where we've been?

We drove down to CA for Brookie's graduation and I stayed with the kids for 2 weeks.

My mom has had to work a lot so Brooke and I have taken the kids all over the place.

We went to the pier with Gp & Jenna, out to eat with my Dad, swimming and a BBQ with Gm. Beth & Gp. Phil, the beach, the beach, and more beach.  Since it's free, Brooke and I keep going back to the beach.  I'll post everything when I get home, but for now, here's a few pictures of the last couple of weeks:
