This morning we decided to get going early so we could make it to the Pemberley Easter Egg hunt. Last year we were a few minutes late and all of the eggs were gone. Saxon was so sad! This year, we made it a few minutes early and the boys were dying to get started!
Notice the coats and beanies? It was a beautiful spring day in Utah! Ha ha...
They let the 3 and under kids go first because they take a little longer to find eggs. Bridger was going so fast that eggs were falling out of his basket as he ran :)
Once they gave the "ok" for the big kids, Saxon got to run in and find his eggs...
There were 8 golden eggs hidden amongst the hundreds of other eggs. Each golden egg got a prize at the end. Bridger found a golden egg. When Saxon saw, he "traded" him for a little orange egg and convinced him what a good idea it was because the little orange egg had jelly beans in it. Then Saxon went and claimed his prize...a chocolate bunny.
He has been hoping for weeks now that the Easter Bunny will bring him a big chocolate bunny. I have a feeling that the Easter bunny will not, because the Easter Bunny thinks that chocolate bunnies are gross. So, I was glad that he got one so that he won't be disappointed on Easter. He even shared with Bridger :)
I tried over and over to get a cute picture of Dalton sitting in the grass, but he just kept ignoring me and eating grass. No matter what I did, he would NOT look at me. Little stinker...He did love chewing on this empty egg though...
Here he is eating a fist full of grass...yummy!
Easter weekend so far has been really fun!
Yesterday Saxon had his class Easter party, today was the neighborhood egg hunt and we are going to dye Easter egg tonight, and tomorrow is Easter. We can't wait! :)
