Happy Easter

Happy Easter!
Here's Saxon and Bridger all dressed up for church.
(Poor baby Dalton was sick today so he got to stay home)
We have 8:30 church so the kids had to wake up early to see if the Easter bunny came...

We barely had time to verify that the Easter Bunny did come before we had to get ready to leave.  Dalton was sick today so we didn't want to bring him to church.  I had to teach in YW today so I couldn't miss the first hour.  So, I took the boys to the first half of church, and then Nate and I traded and he went to the second half with the big boys.

While the big boys were gone, Dalton had free reign of the Easter stuff.
He kept finding all of the Easter eggs and breaking them open.
Sneaky little guy...
When the big boys got home from church, they got to smash Easter eggs into each other heads.  We started this tradition last year when a girl that works with Nate gave him 2 dozen hollowed out eggs filled with confetti.  It was a tradition that she learned while she was on her mission and she still does it.  The boys had so much fun with it that this year Nate found some confetti eggs and Walgreens and bought them.

Even sick baby Dalton came down to be a part of the action:

My cute boys!
The sun was in their eyes so they wouldn't look at the camera :)

Hope everyone else is having a great Easter too!

-Bubby got a "fat green lantern" in his basket.  He has been begging for one forever, but it took us a while to figure out what a "fat green lantern" is.

-Saxon asked if he could crack open an Easter egg.
I said "yes, as long as you eat it..."
He agreed and cracked it open.
A few minutes later I noticed him not eating Easter egg.
"Saxon, what did you do with your egg?"
"I flushed it down the toilet."
"What!  Why?"
"Mom...I always do that.  I had a yolk in it.  Nobody likes the yolk!"
Needless to say...Saxon doesn't get any more eggs.

-Baby Dalton was so excited to have the house to himself that he cracked open every plastic egg just to dump the candy on the ground.  Then he sampled a little bit from everyone's basket.  Then he played for a while with everyone's toys.  Then he colored on every single page of his new coloring book.  Then he took a bath.  He was in heaven.
