Since Sunday was actually Halloween, we started off the day with Pumpkin Pop Tarts before we went to church. I thought they turned out pretty good. Saxon took one fake bite and told me it was gross. Bridger smashed his to pieces with his fork and then told me he couldn't eat it. So, we gave them all to Nate to take to work :)
After church, Brittany and Johnse came over to make a Halloween Dinner with us.
We had pumpkin chips with pumpkin hummus, sweet & spicy pumpkin seeds, pumpkin fudge, pumpkin ravioli, snail pesto rolls, smoking sodas, baked apples, and salad. Check out Brittany's blog for some more pictures...
Saxon didn't like our baked apples, so he decided to make his own. He got out the apple peeler and rolled his apple, then covered it in whipped cream, peanut butter, sprinkles, and cherries. Gross. :)
I still need to get the pictures, but Britt drew spiders on their faces with eye liner. Then Saxon decided he wanted a pumpkin face. So, Uncle Johnse turned his face into a jack-o-lantern. Saxon looked in the mirror, gave a pouty face, and said "he turned me into a vampire!" So, being the good sport that he is, Uncle Johnse let Saxy draw on his face with eyeliner. It was awesome!
