We were finally able to get our garden started this year.
Nate made the trenches a few weeks ago, but he's been working so much, and the weather hasn't been good, so we haven't been able to finish it.
On Saturday, however, the weather was GORGEOUS!
We spent 3 hours gardening!
Here's a few pictures:
After 3 hours, we were exhausted and sunburned, and ready to go.
I forget how long everything takes.
All we did was bury the drip lines, add the compost and bunny poop (people swear by it so we loaded up at Jeff's house), and plant the onions. I had high hopes of also getting the carrots and radishes planted, but oh well. Now all we need is some more nice weather and some free time :)
The best part was, my boys worked so hard that they fell asleep right after their baths.

Congrats on your garden. Gardens are a ton of work and weeding but they are well worth it and I think they are a great way to teach kids about plants, hard work, and healthy eating. I would love any tips you have for cooking with radishes, we have a bumper crop already this year and are running out of recipes for them. Also, Dalton is adorable! He has the sweetest little face ever.
your little family is the cutest! Dalton is such a gerber baby I swear you need to get that child an agent! Love you and miss you guys can't wait to see you very soon :) <3
YAY! Garden time! Last year your garden was so amazing, I can't wait to see it this year.
So I just saw Dalton two weeks ago and he was not that blonde and he was not that big! Its like your kids have butterfly transformations between 6 and 8 months old. They go from dark to blonde and from little squishy babies to big crawling around little boys. That was too fast Dalton. Too FAST.
You are so impressive. Seriously. I love that you garden. I want you teach me someday. Maybe when we live by each other again...
your garden looks great i am really jealous i dont have one. the boys are so cute and i cant believe how fast dalton is growing and sooo blonde, i miss you guys sooo such and cant wait to see you at the graduation.
