April & May Art Work

Since I didn't post Saxon's April artwork, here is April and May:

They learned about Earth Day and seasons.

They talked about Cinco de Mayo, the life of a tadpole, and nightlife.
I like the "Nn-night" picture.  They made little moths out of their fingerprints.

They talked about Easter and Springtime and plants.

Here is Saxon in his Cinco de Mayo hat with his Cinco de Mayo Donkey :)
Then they made these cute little flowers that say, "Something is blooming for Mother's Day..."

"LOVE"
How cute!
His little ducky says,
"My little yellow duck is really very funny,
for when I turn him over, he becomes and Easter bunny!"

And his little Easter basket.
Saxon has had such a great year at preschool.
We LOVE his teacher and we LOVE his school.
I went back and forth for a long time whether or not to start him in Kindergarten next year.  He makes the cut off by just a few days.  The more I thought about it, and the more I talked to people, it seems like most kids do better when they start older.  So, I decided to wait.  Not only for his sake, but for mine.  I'm not ready to have him gone yet.  I would miss him.
Sometimes I get the reaction from people "Oh, he's not ready for kindergarten then..."  No, actually it's the opposite.  He's totally ready.  He did AMAZING in preschool.  He's socially capable and he is smart and learns fast.  I think he would be fine in kindergarten.  I'm waiting because when I think of the 2 options, this one feels better to me.  I don't know what will happen down the road, or where we'll be in a year, so I would rather keep him home as long as possible.  Nate graduated from high school, went to one semester of college, and then went on a mission.  Saxon could do the same thing (rather than having to wait over a year) and since I want him to be like his dad, this is what we're doing.
So, now that the decision is made, I just feel relieved.
I have one more year of Saxon all to myself.  We'll do preschool with Ms. Nettie again and Saxon LOVES her so we are so excited!
