3...2...1...HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Yes, I know, it is only 9:15 on New Year's Eve, but we're celebrating early. I promised Saxon a "PARTY", and what would a party be without PARTY HATS!
...and SILLY STRING!

...and Martinellis sparkling apple cider!
...and a New Year's toast for Saxon...
...and one for Bridger!
My gorgeous guys celebrating New Year's Eve!!!

Since tonight is the end of 2008, I wanted to think about some of my favorite memories from this year, so I don't forget...
-Bridger was born healthy and strong. I can't seem to remember our family without him...
-Grandpa Roy's 80th Birthday Party and our trip to California. That trip had tons of great memories: Watching Brookie cheer, Kasen's football game, the fish restaurant with my Dad and Nathan where Saxon ate so many cinnamon chips he was sparkly with sugar from head to toe. We gave him a bath at my dad's house where he plugged up the tub by dropping the bar of soap down it, then we didn't bring a diaper so he had to wear Bridger's and it looked like bikini bottoms. He kept taking it off saying: "No, this bubby's" so he ran around naked for a while. Then after he and Nathan jumped on the couch for a while my dad says, "Nathan, put the cushions back on, we'd hate for your mom to think you guys had been jumping on the couch." Think they were jumping? You mean know they were jumping :) Halloween, we went to the football game and then dressed Saxon up in Gregor's old cowboy costume and Bridger in Gregor's old super-baby costume, taking the boys to the beach for the first time, and getting to know Princess Alice.
-Our trip to Lake Webb in May, what a fun Mother's Day!
-Everyday at the pool all summer. Saxon is a such a little fish!
-Saxon's 2nd birthday party. We had tons of family there, it was so fun!
-Sunday dinners with the boys (Mike, Jeff, and Gregor) and occasionally Grandpa and Grandma Sonnenberg
-I stopped working. Not that I didn't love my job, but being able to spend more time with my kids has been priceless.
-We have the best family and friends EVER and I'm so grateful for them! We are healthy, and strong, and happy, and I couldn't ask for anything more. Well, I would like to not be so poor, but if that's the worst thing that has happened to us, then I'm very blessed.
-There are so many more, I might keep updating this list as I think of more stories :)

Baby Ballerina

This is baby Alice in Wonderland wearing the tutu we gave her for Christmas...
With the help of my friend Jamie (Wonder-woman, she knows how to do everything) we made tutu's for baby Alice and Andi's Kenna, and Holly's Bryn. It was fun and I was pretty excited about them.

It was so funny to watch the girls in their tutu's; Kenna's would wiggle side to side because she shakes her buns when she walks; Bryn's would flounce up and down because she sticks her buns out when she walks; and Alice just thinks hers is yummy!

Baby Elf

Saxon saw an elf video of Gregor and wanted one of him and Bridger and Alice. Kenny didn't like it, but Saxon loves it! So, here it is...

Uncle Gregor to the Rescue!

Saxon has been my little buddy lately, and whenever I leave, this is what happens. I went to lunch today with some friends from work and Gregor was kind enough to rearrange his schedule to come babysit for me. However, this is what I left him with...
Saxon thought his little heart might break...
Then comes Uncle Gregor to the rescue!!! He found all of his snow clothes and dressed him up nice and warm...
and took him sledding! Look at that smile!
Uncle Gregor worked his magic and Saxon had a great time. He had such a great time, that when they came in, they shared a COKE, and both fell asleep. That's right, COKE in the sippy. Oh well, that's what uncles are for...fun in the snow, soda and candy!
This is a picture from yesterday. We were at Costco and Saxon was sitting by me, eating his pizza. He kept pressing his pizza sauce face up against mine and saying, "CHEESE!" Apparently he wanted his picture taken, so here it is...all this blogging is rubbing off on him. We take way more pictures than usual :)
Last night, Saxon climbed in bed with us and was wiggling all around driving us crazy! I was about to drag him off to his own room when he hugs me and says, "Mommy's Cute!" So, once again, Saxon wins and he got to stay in our room and watch yet another episode of the "Phineas and Ferb" marathon on Disney.

Such a Merry Christmas!

Wow! My kids are so lucky! I wasn't sure how much we would be able to do for Christmas this year, but look...My family is AMAZING!!! I'm almost on a first name basis with the Fed-Ex guy because of how many packages we got. Saxon walked past the tree this morning and came to get me:
-Oh no Mommy! Where go? (because the presents weren't under the tree)
-Look on the couch honey
-Whoa
Then we tip-toed in to body slam Uncle Gregor and wish him a Merry Christmas!
Bridger had his own little mountain of gifts. Thanks to a very helpful big brother, they all got opened :)
What a good sport! Uncle Gregor came and spent the night on Christmas Eve to wake up and open presents with he kids. Kenny, I believe that is your special gift he is holding up...
CARS, CARS, and more CARS!!! How could one kid be so lucky? It took him hours to open everything because he wanted to stop and play with each one first. Each time I would hand him a present and ask, "What do you think it is?" Every time he answered, "Um...Cars!" Usually he was right.

Baby and his new jammies from Uncle Kenny, Aunt Lisa, and baby Alice

I'm not sure whether the toys were cooler or the tags, but he rolled around and munched on these all morning.

Can you see all the CARS on the table?

Thanks to Andi's suggestion, Saxon got a HANNAH MONTANA guitar. He always finds the GUITAR HERO stuff and her house and tells me "I ROCK!" Now he can rock with his very own. It even has a microphone!

ICE FISHING...Saxon in his new shark tent from Grandpa Dean, Deanna, and Uncle Nathan with his Russian Snow Hat from Uncle Gregor

Like mommy like baby. He wanted to copy everything I did. A good reminder to be a good example :)

SAY CHEESE! My two babies all snuggled in in their new jammies from Aunt Brittany
Saxon's Christmas Camp Out

Thank your for the CARS!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!! We love you all! Saxon had the best Christmas ever. He is sooooo excited about his cars. He still hasn't opened all of his presents because he just wants to keep playing CARS. Nate, Gregor, Bridger, and I all say Merry Christmas also!

'Twas the Night before Christmas

"'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse; (not even Gregor or Bridger)
The stockings were hung by the chimney (or T.V.) with care,
In hopes that St. Nicolas soon would be ther
e;

The children were nestled all snug in their beds (he was out after playing at BB's),
While visions of sugar plums (or superheros) danced in their heads;

Happy Christmas to all, and to all a Good Night!"

This is what we did today for Christmas Eve...
Saxon and I made Gingerbread Cookies! He gave up on frosting them as just started sucking the frosting out of the bag. Look at those sprinkles! He even fed some frosting to baby. Hope Santa loves them...

Christmas Eve at Aunt Brittany and Uncle Johnse's house. This is the big boys table. The boys taught Saxon how to track Santa online. He was in Brazil while we were there. I remember being in Brazil for Christmas. It's the middle of summer. Everyone makes pretty new sundresses to wear on Christmas Eve. A far cry from the snow and ice in Utah.

Mommy, baby, and Aunt BB! Dinner was beautiful, of course! Britt and I decided to dress up so that it would feel like Christmas Eve at home.

Bridger under the Christmas tree. We have lots of cute pictures of Bridger, but we couldn't pull Saxon away from the boys long enough for a picture. He was too busy coloring and playing with Eliot's "guys" (action figures). He had to make up for all they time he missed out on with the boys.

Baby's first experience with Beau. He grabbed him by both ears and tried to eat his head. YUCK!

Bridger and Uncle Gregor!

Me and my cute baby!

Look at Brittany's blog. She got some really cute shots tonight!

Alice Robot

Isn't this hilarious? This is my niece, Alice Robot Annabelle. I think she has got to be one of the cutest things I've ever seen. I was with them for Halloween and she was a kitty, so she must be a skeleton for Christmas. We love you Alice!

PARTY TIME!

Every year we do a Christmas Party with our friends, the Prices and the Williams. Only in Utah can you chill your drinks this way :) We got a foot of snow yesterday!!!
Bridger sitting like a big boy in the high chair.
The table looked so cute! Andi has tons of Christmas stuff! Christmas plates, Christmas serving dishes, candles galore...it was so fun!

Holly even made place cards for everyone.
Bridger had an honorary place card in the middle of me and Nate since of course, he wanted to sit on our laps and sample the mashed potatos.
The kids table...
I'm starting to think it might actually be impossible to get a normal picture of little boys. I had to take about 20 to get the last one, because most of them looked like this...
Bridger opening his presents... He got a cute new hooded sweatshirt jacket and a cute new shirt.
Saxon opening his presents. He opened Bridger's presents also :) Holly got him a Tony Hawk sweatshirt jacket. Uncle Kasen will think he looks so cool! I didn't know Tony Hawk made baby clothes? Anyway, he also got a snowboarder snowsuit from Andi and he has been dying to go outside and try it out!
Family picture. Saxon was totally uncooperative, and Bridger is covered in slobber, but at least we all match :)
