Welcome to Neverland!

With the help of some very talented friends, we had an amazing Neverland party for
Saxon's 3rd birthday.
My talented friend Rachel took some professional pictures of the party that I can't wait to post!

First we were sprinkled with pixie dust so we could fly to Neverland...

then we chased our shadows...

we had a BBQ...

and spent time with friends and family.

The balloons were a big hit!

Saxon's birthday cake was the best chocolate cake EVER!
The recipe is from Conversations with a Cupcake
and it was every bit as amazing as she says it will be,
and amazingly do-able.
(It was really for you Andi so I hope you loved it :) )

Saxon LOVED opening his presents!

He got some really cool stuff!

We decided not to give Bridger a piece of cake (from his party, we know what he is capable of) and save his outfit.
So...he helped himself to everyone else's cake and was covered from his hair to his toes in chocolate: it was impressive.

We had a really fun day and we hope everyone else enjoyed the party too!

Brick Oven Birthday

We had another birthday dinner for Saxon at Brick Oven...
Jeff & Meg, and Mike & Mandy came to celebrate.
Since Monday is "Free Root Beer" night,
and it's BYU Education Week,
it was REALLY crowded.

Saxon got a free pizza, soda, and lollipop sundae since it was his birthday.

Jeff taught Saxon to blow straw wrappers at people.

Turns out, he has pretty good aim.

Gailey Family Pictures

When Nate's family was in town this last week, we had our pictures done by the amazing and talented Andee McDonald. She squeezed us in at the last minute, drove all the way to Park City, and did the big group picture, individual family pictures, and each of the kids.

Birthday, Birthday, Birthday!

August has been a busy month for us so far.
The Gailey's have been in town for a get together,
and we celebrated 3 August birthdays.

Birthday #1: Colleen
Colleen turned 60 on August 2nd, and so we had a big family party for her at Buca di Beppo.
The kids were SO excited to be around their cousins and we were served the coolest cake ever!
For her birthday, we all chipped in to get her a pedicure.
She ended up getting glitter toes, and they look fabulous!

Birthday #2: Saxon
Saxon will turn 3 on August 20, so we had a family dinner at Olive Garden to celebrate his birthday. He loved his little cake and opening his presents. Aunt Janalee got him dry erase markers and made his day! For the rest of the night he chased Hyrum around trying to whack him with the marker pack. He also got a cool new CD and money to put towards his very own Thanksgiving Point membership. Thanks guys!

Birthday #3: NATE
Since Nate will turn 32 on August 30, we decided to make it a combined party. Grandpa Gailey even ordered 2 cakes (and treated us to dinner) and Nate got to open presents from his family. Of course, Saxon got to blow out the candle though...

Thanks to everyone who drove all the way out here to celebrate the birthdays with us!
