Boating

We're so lucky that my mom has a boat and that she takes my kids out so much.
They LOVED the boat!
We went out just for rides, for water sports, for picnics, and to tour the lake.
Saxon loved his seat up front, but Bridger liked to wander around and visit everyone.

Grandpa Gregg let all of the kids have a turn driving.
It was crazy!
Saxon does a pretty good job with some help from Grandpa.
Bubby kept shoving Gregg's hands away so that he could do it all by himself.
Both kids knew where Gregg kept the ipod and would hold it up and beg him to play "We Will, We Will Rock You." They LOVE that song. They call it the "BYU" song and they both dance along to it...

Picnic at Stevenson Cove:

On one of our boat rides, Saxon just wanted to snuggle with Grandpa Roy.
Pretty soon, he fell asleep.
Then Chloe leaned over and fell asleep on Saxon.
So, Jenna leaned over to snuggle with Grandpa too, and we got some cute pictures:

Bridger snuggled in to me and fell asleep, and we had a relaxing boat ride with all of the sleepy kids...

Thanks Mom and Gregg for all of the boat rides!
We had so much fun!!!

The Beach

At Shaver Lake we spend the week camping, but spend everyday playing on the beach or on the boat. Saxon and Bridger loved throwing water balloons, feeding the ducks, playing with the sand toys, and spending time with cousins. Saxon loved Grandpa Gregg's big squirt guns. He would hold one in his hands and one between his legs so that no one could take the blue ones. Bridger loved the ducks! Grammie showed him how to feed the ducks, but he would still go chasing them out into the water before he would throw the food and scare most of the off. It was so fun!

Mud Castles

One of the kids' favorite games at Shaver is to build mud castles.
The little ones build a big castle/mud hole with tunnels and outlets.
The big kids fill the hole with water and see if the tunnels can hold up against the water.
If the water crashes through the mud castle and makes it down to the lake, then the big kids win. If the castle can hold up, the little ones win.
Kasen was in charge of the mud castle, but Saxon joined in with the Dads and helped haul up buckets of water to pour in the big pit that Kasen dug.
They played this game almost every day. Nate brought his big shovel down the the beach so the pit could be even deeper...

Tubing at Shaver Lake

One of the highlights of the trip was going tubing.
Saxon started jumping from the boat to the tube and got all of the kids doing it :)

Below:
1. Kasen jumping from the boat to the tube. He didn't quite make it, but the picture looks cool!
2. Cole, Chloe, and Saxon all jumping at the same time.

Bridger LOVED going on the tube! He begged every time we got it out. He usually falls asleep while we're out there.

Megan and I took Bridger and Cole for a mellow tube ride. Tubing was the only thing I could do pregnant and luckily Bridger loves it too. Saxon was a little more reserved this trip than he usually is. He mostly wanted to build monster truck races on shore and play with his cousins.

Below:
Nate and Kasen took Saxon and Bridger on a tube ride. Kasen kept standing up because it was going so slow, and he got Bridger standing up too!
After all of the adventures, they were wiped out!
Both of them kept falling asleep on the boat :)

4th of July

We just got back from our trip to Shaver Lake and I have a million cute pictures to post.
We went camping, boating, swimming, hiking, fishing, playing, and just visiting.
It was so much fun!!!
I'm going to start with the highlight of our trip...the 4th of July.

This year we spent the 4th of July with my mom at Shaver Lake.
Smokey the Bear came by in the morning reminding everyone to be safe...

After a day of playing on the beach, we showered the kids on the back of the boat and got them dressed in their 4th of July shirts.

My mom and Gregg squeezed everyone on the boat so we could all go out and see fireworks over the water. Saxy insisted on wearing Aunt Brookie's life-jacket.

There were so many boats on the water. It was so cool to look at.
Bridger fell asleep, but Saxon watched the whole show.

We had so much fun! I can't wait to post the rest of the pictures from our trip :)

ps: This is for Grammie...Saxon wakes up every morning, looks around, and starts to cry that he isn't at Grammie's house. He keeps telling me that he just wants to live at Grammie's house now. He had so much fun and is so sad that it's over. We'll have to plan another trip after Humpty Dumpty is born so he can spend more time at Grammies :)
