Library Pirate Party

On Saturday, we signed the boys up for the "Boys Pirate Party" at the library.
It was so cool!
They asked everyone to come dressed up, and they re-named them when they came in.
Saxon was "Wankin' Jack Straw" and Bridger was "Bad Jude Grimm".

First they started with pirate story time in the theater:
Then then divided up into stations.
The boys were assigned to "sword fighting" first.
Each boy was given a "sword" and a cracker on a string to wear around his neck.  They were only allowed to hit each others crackers, not faces or heads.  Some kids were too scared to fight, but Saxon and Bridger were all about it.  One little boys set down his sword and started crying...
Before we knew it, Dalton had picked up the other little boys' sword and joined the fight.
He wasn't scared at all.  He went right out there and started attacking everyone with his sword.  Everyone was cracking up because you had to be 4-8 to be a part of the pirate party, and here is my one year old beating everyone at sword fighting :)  Everyone kept saying "you can tell he has older brothers..."
After sword fighting, we took pictures with the pirate poster...

And Dalton swept the deck and Bridger tried to sink the other pirates ships with bean bags.  They also walked the plank and swam across the ocean, and dug in the sand for gold and gems...

The last station was making parrots to sit on their shoulders.

Here's Bridger showing off his gold coin and Saxon with is parrot :)

And Dalton was excited to be included in the party even though he was too young.
At the end, they gave out pirate cookies and pirate water.
They asked to take a picture of our family too since the kids were dressed up and looked so cute!  It was such a fun party!  I'm going to have to keep watching for more library parties :)
