Temple Lights

Last week we drove up to SLC to see the lights on Temple Square.
Before we went, we stopped by my grandparents house to drop off some cookies that we made, and visit for a minute.  The kids always LOVE seeing them.
We went last Monday because the weather wasn't supposed to be too bad.  However, apparently everyone else in Utah had the same idea.  We drove around forever looking for a spot to park, and finally ended up parking really far away and just walking in.

The lights, like always, were definitely worth the hassle.  The kids loved it and it's so nice to be able to explain to them why we celebrate Christmas and have so much to show them to reinforce the point.  We even walked through the visitor's center and listened to the Christus Presentation.
The boys had so much to look at that they could hardly contain their excitement.  Baby Dalton was in the snugli and kept tipping his head back to stare at the lights.  It was so cute.  We had such a fun night.  To top it all off, Grandpa S gave us McDonalds money since they couldn't spend time with us.  My kids were thrilled :)
