Late Harvest

Because we had such warm weather through all of September, our garden is still growing.  It's so fun to be able to have fresh vegetables this late in the season.  Last year, our garden froze in the beginning of September.  We probably don't have much time left, so pretty soon we are going to have to pick everything that's left.
Here's Bridger using his shirt to carry home a tomato.
I showed him how to do that one day when I needed some help getting the veggies home.
This time, he put the tomato under his shirt instead, but it was so cute that he wanted to help.  He also ate all of the sweet peas off of our plant.  It was so funny to hear him beg for "more peas please!"  He is becoming so funny!  I just love listening to him!
Saxon went out in the garden to help Nate too.
He wore his fireman outfit in case in rained :)
Luckily he had his rain boots on because the squash plants are prickly.
He likes to help find all of the "red tomatoes" to pick.
He also loaded up his pockets to help us carry the veggies home.
I loved the way he looked out there.
The colors were all so gorgeous since it had just rained.
