For Ryan's birthday...

Since we were going to miss Ryan's birthday, we decided to spend the day with him while we were there.  Ryan, Brookie, me, and the kids, loaded up the van and went to Thai food for lunch.  It was Ryan's choice, but luckily we all like like Thai food.  Ryan ordered an entire deep fried fish.  The whole thing...head, tail, everything.

After lunch we went to "Bake You Happy".  It's a cupcake place in Valencia and Brookie's friend Emalee works there.  The owners won cupcake wars on the Food Network.  Emalee made the kids each their own cupcakes the way that they wanted it.  They were in heaven!

Poor Bridger dropped his cupcake and splatted the frosting on the floor.
He was devastated!
So, Emalee re-frosted it for him and it was like a whole new cupcake!

After cupcakes, we headed over to the Newhall Farmer's Market to wander around.
We bought the coolest fruit called a cherimoya.  It tasted like a combination of a banana, mango, and guava.  It was $5 a pound though, so we only bought one.  Happy Birthday to Ryan, ha ha.
Then we decided to get the kids faces painted.
The lady was a little strange.
She showed us some amazing pictures of what she could do.
Once she started painted, we discovered that the amazing artwork, was probably not hers.
She told me that the kids were her worst customers yet because the didn't sit totally still.
I wonder if she has ever face painted on a child before?
Plus, with no previous experience, I'm pretty sure I could have done a better batman.
Ryan noticed while she was painting that the water bottle she kept drinking from was actually filled with wine.
Ha ha.  No wonder she seemed a little tipsy.
Oh well, the kids still loved getting their faces painted :)
